It's All About Me
I thought that it might be fun to share some more things about ME. So you can see that I'm not just a pretty face (~_o)
I can sew but only if its in a straight line. I can't do curves very well at all.
I like watching movies on tv but I don't mind going to the cinema.
Something I wish I didn't have to cook dinner.
I live in a medium sized country town & I love it!
I remember getting an electric organ from my Mum & Dad when I was around 9 years old. I loved that thing. I would sit and play music for hours and hours. Although I'm not very good at playing any more :(
I remember my sister Vicki's wedding and hiding from the photographer. I was 3 at the time. I also remember the pretty pink crocheted dress that I wore. I have no idea where the dress came from because Mum could not crochet a thing.
I cook eggs a couple of times a week but mostly I just have some toast with either cheese, tomatoes or Vegemite on it. Although I am sure my dietitian would love it if I ate more cereal.
Sometimes I think my life is so full of drama that it would make a good TV soap!

7. Do you have a nativity scene? No
8. Hardest person to buy for? My Dad because there really isn't all that much I can someone who pretty much has everything he really needs or wants.

I've Been Tagged ..

It's not a bad thing really its not like we are really playing tag. If we were I wouldn't be able to run very far and I would ALWAYS get caught because I am
Of course for this game of tag there are a few things that need to be done, like answering some questions, but this is a fun way of getting to know each other better :)
Do you think you're hot?
We're heading towards winter right now so unless I am sitting in front of the heater I would have to say NO I am not hot :D It's a bit on the chilly side today
Upload a picture or wallpaper that you are using at the moment
I only change my wallpaper last night. I was using a Doctor Who one but changed it to Star Trek Voyager :D

When was the last time you ate some chicken?
We had take away from Seven Noodle the other night. I had Combination Noodle which has pork, chicken, beef and prawns in it. It was absolutely delicious and the best thing about takeaway is I didn't have to cook. You gotta LOVE that!!
The song/songs you listened to recently
I had the radio on in the car when I dropped Brodie off at the bus stop this morning. He's on respite today. He's off bowling & dancing. Oops I got side tracked. I have no idea what songs were playing but I did listen to some music last night. Some Rascal Flatts songs (From Time to Time and I'm Moving On ) they are one of my favourite bands ever! I also listened to Jericho Road (Testify To Love)
What were you thinking while doing this?
I'm not sure if it means while I was listening to music of while completing these questions so I'll answer for both. While listening to the music I was wondering what to cook for tea. While completing the questions I was wondering if the washing machine had finished its load.

Do you have any nicknames?
Yes I do. Apart from being called Mum or Hon I am known as Blossy, Bloss or BlossyBoots. All are short or variations of Blossom. Cos I love flowers. What can I say.

Tag 8 blogger friends
Gosh now this is hard. I don't know if I could call them friends (yet) maybe good acquaintances, these are blogs I visit often apart from Poetess's blog :) ... okay here goes ...
Tina from Tina Gray {dot} me
Kate from Picklebums
Maria from Aussie Maria
Corrie from Retromummy
Candy from Candy's Family
Naomi from Seven Cherubs
Marita from Stuff with Thing
Pammy Sue from Scotty's Place
Who is listed as number one?
Tina is at the top of the list. Her blog is one that I read all the time. She is one fun lady! I like finding out what she gets up to with her family.
Say something about number 5
I met Candy on twitter via a #followfriday tweet and started reading her blog. She is one awesome lady with lots of beautiful children.
How did you get to know number 3?
I met Maria via Knit 4 Charities in their yahoo (email) group. K4C was organised by the amazing Pamela Tatt. Its for people who love to knit & crochet that like to donate what they make to charity. If you would like to know more about K4C click HERE.
How about number 4?
Gosh I don't really remember how I met Corrie. It may have been twitter or it might have been through Stumble Upon. I really dislike having brain freezes and not being able to remember :(
Leave a message for number 6
Naomi, you are one super Mum & oh so talented. I love finding out what you are up to with your family. Sometimes I wish I could be just like you or that we met in real life. I am sure that I would tap you for lots of ideas from FHE to cooking. You are an amazing lady.
Leave a lovey-dovey message for number two
I'm not a lovely-dovey kind of person. Just as anyone that knows me. How about .. Kate, I adore your family & what you get up to. Adore is pretty close to love right?
Do number seven and number eight have similarities?
They both have children. They are both creative. Marita likes to create some amazing meals and Pammy Sue creates some amazing crocheted pieces (and food too).
I cannot believe how incredibly difficult that was. I thought I could do this. It seems easy but then I got stumped with the bloggers. Sorry ladies. Its so hard to select only 8 bloggers who you like. I didn't wish to choose the same people who had already been tagged. It would have been much easier if I did.
Anyway. If you are one of the fantastic bloggers mentioned above guess what?!?! You've been tagged too! I would love to see what answers you write for these questions :)

A Christmas Meme
How we celebrate Christmas
1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot chocolate but since we have Christmas during Summer I would prefer a cold glass (o0r can) of pepsi max! That being said I used to love buying Farmers Union Egg Nog when I was in college.
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Always wrapped
3. Coloured lights on tree/house or white? We actually don't have any lights at the moment.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? No we don't.
5. When do you put your decorations up? Usually on December 1st (sometimes the 2nd) but its always after Angus's birthday.
6. What is your favourite holiday dish? I don't really have one favourite dish for Christmas. Although I did love my Mum's roasts that she used to cook. I don't mind having trifle now & then just as long as there is no alcohol in it.
7. Favourite Holiday memory as a child? I remember one year getting a tennis racquet for Christmas. I also remember Dad taking me over to the car park at the train station so that we could play a game or two of tennis. I had loads of fun that day.
I also love the Christmas picnics we would go to with the Red Lion Social Club that Mum & Dad belonged too. Father Christmas would come and give a present to every boy & girl there. I would race off to show Mum what I got and then I would rush around to find Dad to show him. Funny thing was I could never find him until after Father Christmas had gone ... ...
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I honestly don't remember how I found out. Although I do remember finding out that my Dad played Father Christmas at those social club picnics. My brother told every kid that would listen that he saw our Dad getting changed into the suit. I think I was about 10 at the time.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Now that the boys are older we actually celebrate on Christmas Eve. That way we get to chill out and do pretty much what we want at a very leisurely pace on Christmas Day. Plus we don't have to worry about the boys waking us up early so that they can open their presents.
10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? We have some really old decorations that my Mum gave me. They were the decorations wee used when I was little. Over the years I have added some nice new ornaments but I also have some of the stuff the boys made in kindy and primary school.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Snow? What is snow? That's that stuff you only see in photos right?
12. Can you ice skate? No but I can rollerskate. Does that count?
13. Do you remember your favourite gift? I remember getting an organ one year. I used to pretend it was a piano. I loved playing that thing.
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? I love seeing how excited the boys get when they open their gifts. To me it truly is about giving. Making others happy is the main thing. Don't get me wrong I do like receiving presents too but I love seeing how people react (hopefully in a good way). I also like to remind the boys about the reason for the season too. Its not really about Father Christmas is it!
15. What is your favourite Holiday Dessert? I don't mind the odd piece of Christmas cake or some trifle. I also like the occasional piece of white Christmas
16. What is your favourite holiday tradition? I don't think we really have a tradition other than when we put the Christmas tree up. Sometimes we might go for a drive to look at Christmas lights but since we live country its a little hard to see lots of them in our town.
17. What tops your tree? A bright red star.
18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving? Giving is more important than receiving.
19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? Leroy the Redneck Reindeer.
20. Candy Canes: Yuck or Yum? Definitely yum!
21 Favourite Christmas Show? The Nativity Story. I also like The Santa Claus & Santa Junior.
22. Saddest Christmas Song? There's a few that make me cry but mostly I would have to say I'll be home for Christmas. Also Santa Never Made it Into Darwin by Bill & Boyd it is based on Cyclone Tracy hitting Darwin on Christmas morning in 1974.

4. Do you take daily vitamins?
5. What is your worst eating habit?

My Mum's apple pie was the best ever but ever since she passed away I have to settle for Nanna's apple pie. It's almost as good as my Mums.

No I can honestly say that I have never run out of fuel for my car although there were times when it came pretty darn close.

Sometimes I eat when I am bored. I guess I should keep myself busy huh.
