This song has been getting a lot of airplay on our local radio station at the moment. It surprised me that they are actually playing it due to the fact that Florida Georgia Line is a country band. I love these guys! Their voices sound so smooth.
♫♪♫ I have to admit I am hooked on this song at the moment! ♪♫♪
I hear this song in every single Doctor Who Christmas special. I am counting down until this years special!! It's very catchy. I know it's still November but Christmas will be upon us before we know it.
"Merry Xmas Everybody"
Are you hanging up a stocking on your wall?
It's the time that every Santa has a ball
Does he ride a red-nosed reindeer?
Does it ton-up on his sleigh?
Do the fairies keep him sober for a day?
[Chorus:]
So here it is, Merry Christmas
Everybody's having fun
Look to the future now
It's only just begun
Are you waiting for the family to arrive?
Are you sure you've got the room to spare inside?
Does your granny always tell you
That the old songs are the best?
Then she's up and rock 'n' rolling with the rest
[Chorus:]
So here it is, Merry Christmas
Everybody's having fun
Look to the future now
It's only just begun
What will your daddy do
When he sees your momma kissing Santa Claus?
Aaah ah aaah aahh
Are you hanging up a stocking on your wall?
Are you hoping that the snow will start to fall?
Do you ride on down the hillside
In a buggy you have made?
When you land upon your head
Then you've been "Slade" (slayed)
[Chorus:]
So here it is. Merry Christmas
Everybody's having fun
Look to the future now
It's only just begun
So here it is, Merry Christmas
Everybody's having fun
Look to the future now
It's only just begun
So here it is, Merry Christmas
Everybody's having fun
Look to the future now
It's only just begun
So here it is, Merry Christmas
Everybody's having fun
(It's Christmas!)
Look to the future now
It's only just begun
The children at Church will be singing this during Sacrament on Christmas Day.
It's such a beautiful song that I wanted to share it.
[Verse 1]
They journeyed far, a weary pair,
They sought for shelter from the cold night air.
Some place where she could lay her head,
Where she could give her Babe a quiet bed.
Was there no room? No corner there?
In all the town a spot someone could spare?
Was there no soul come to their aid?
A stable bare was where the family stayed.
[Chorus]
Do you have room for the Savior?
And do you seek Him anew?
Have you a place for the one who lived and died for you?
Are you as humble as a shepherd boy,
Or as Wise as Men of Old?
Would you have come that night?
Would you have sought the light?
Do you have room?
[Verse]
A star arose, a wondrous light
A sign from God this was the Holy Night
And yet so few would go to see
The babe who came to rescue you and me.
This child divine is now a King
The gift of life to all the world He brings
And all mankind,He saves from doom
But on that night for Him there was no room
[Chorus]
Do you have room for the Savior?
And do you seek Him anew?
Have you a place for the one who lived and died for you?
Are you as humble as a shepherd boy,
Or as Wise as Men of Old?
Would you have come that night?
Would you have sought the light?
Do you have room?
There was an article in my facebook feed this morning with this video.
The pianist, Sonya, is just amazing! I swear she is a gifted music prodigy or something.
I have gone on to watch a few more of her videos already.
Brodie has been playing Hooked on a Feeling a lot recently. Along with The Escape (the pina colada song)
I have dubbed this song - The Crochet Song .. cos I'm totally hooked ☺. I really like this version by Vonda Shepard.
