WIP - Crochet - Under The Sea Blanket - Clown Fish Applique

This clown fish looks a bit big to be Nemo so it must be Marlon his Dad.
The pattern for this applique can be found HERE on Ravelry

WIP - Crochet - Under The Sea Blanket

I've decided to start hooking again!
Although for some reason, I am not very enthusiastic about it. I need some motivation!

I at least managed to complete a fish for my first square, a blue tang.

I am hoping that by the time I complete a few more squares in I may feel a bit more enthusiastic about this project.

WIP - Crochet - Baby Top/Cardigan

I am debating whether to add sleeves to this or not. I am leaning towards not making them.
For now I'll just think about what buttons to add.
The pattern can be found at Just Crochet or HERE on Ravelry.

WIP - Crochet - Heart to Heart Blanket

It seems a bit daft to crochet a blanket in the warmer weather but here I am making a blanket.
It's the same style that I have made before. The pattern is called Heart to Heart.

The colour in the top photo shows the colour of the yarn better than the photo below. Although, you can see the pattern more clearly below.

WIP - Crochet - Framed Hearts Blanket 2

Yes, this definitely looks better with these colours than it did with the other yarn.
And thankfully I have the hang of this pattern now and I haven't really needed to pull it apart to correct any mistakes.

WIP - Crochet - Framed Heart Blanket

Even though I have just made this pattern I thought I would give it another go using a lighter coloured yarn. It looks so much better than the darker blue and purple.

WIP - Crochet - Framed Hearts Afghan - Part 3

I decided to take a photo of this blanket on my kitchen table. I was hoping that the lighter background of the table would help show the shapes of the heart. I think it worked. Although I also believe that if I had chosen a different coloured yarn it would have made a big difference.

Hopefully one more repeat of the pattern and this blanket will be long enough for a border.

WIP - Crochet - Framed Hearts Afghan - Part 2

Slowly but surely this blanket is growing.
I have found that it is quite easy to make mistakes and that I need to frog a row or two every not and then. Maybe I am just easily distracted as I watch TV while crocheting.

It's a shame that you can't see the hearts properly in the photo above. They are difficult to see in the purple. Next time I'll place something underneath when I take a picture so they stand out more.

WIP - Crochet - Framed Hearts Afghan

This pattern, Framed Hearts, is from the same designer who created the Heart to Heart Afghan.
I had a few problems with this and needed to frog a couple of rows when I spotted a mistake. At least I found them early on as I worked.  Brodie chose the colour combo that I am using, purple and blue.

WIP - Crochet - Heart to Heart Afghan Part 3

Love, love, love how this is turning out. It looks very effective.
I bought the pattern that is the opposite of this where the heart is made of treble crochet (US DC). It's called Framed Hearts and is from the same designer.

The blanket is wide enough but not long enough. I am thinking it needs at least two more repeats before it is complete. I'll see what it looks like after the next colour.

WIP - Crochet - Heart to Heart Afghan Part 2

I think this is looking good!
I can't wait for the next colour to be complete to see how it looks then.

WIP - Crochet - Heart to Heart Afghan

I found the pattern when it was a freebie on Crochet Treasures but I couldn't find the link for it on their site. However, it is now available HERE on Ravelry.

I don't think I have enough of the pink to do too many repeats of this pattern
so I am adding two other colours.

I went to find the end of the yarn in the middle of the ball ...
I hate when this happens *sigh*

WIP - Crochet - Grey Teddy Bear

Since I began taking my new medication (methotrexate) for my psoriasis at the end of July I haven't really been feeling up to crocheting much. I have however, managed to make the pieces for a crocheted teddy bear. The only problem is that when it was time to sewing it all together I was feeling rather tired (one of the symptoms of the new meds I'm afraid).

Anyway, here's what I have managed to complete so far. Perhaps today I shall manage to finish sewing on the arms, legs and ears.

WIP - Crochet - Beachy Keen Shawl

I ended up frogging this shawl the other day and restarting it. I didn't like how small it looked using the 5 mm hook. I switched to a 6.5 mm hook and I like it much better.

I have used two and a half balls of ice yarn so far.

I got Brodie to take a photo of me wearing it just to get an idea on size but I am beginning to think that this might be too long. I really need to block this to be sure That being said though, I have never blocked anything before. Not on purpose anyway.

Time to sew in the ends and block I guess .. then I shall see. The finished item from the video and written pattern had a fringe. I am unsure if I want one to be honest. I've never really been a fringe type girl unless it's my hairstyle (~_o) I reckon I shall leave things as they are. What do you think?

WIP - Crochet - Beachy Keen Shawl

I started working on a shawl recently. Although for some reason mine doesn't look quite and loose as the one in the video. Perhaps I crochet tighter or that my work might just need blocking.

Anyway, it is looking really good but a lot smaller than I thought it would be considering how much I have crocheted already. As I mentioned I am just hoping that it is because it just needs blocking.

I followed this video but there is a link on the youtube channel to get the written pattern.

WIP - Crochet - Baby Cardigan

I am using my last ball of  Ice Yarn in this colourway. I just love this one.
I wanted to reorder it but it is out of stock *sigh*

I have almost finished this cardigan. It whips up so quickly.
Pattern by Heather from Just Crochet. Heather sells her patterns on her website and also on Craftsy and Ravelry.

WIP - Crochet - Kaleidoscope Blanket Pt 4

It is taking so much longer to finish each section of this blanket. Although I have to admit it is totally worth it. It is even worth having to sew in all of the ends as well. That being said I don't believe that this blanket is big enough yet.

WIP - Crochet - Kaleidoscope Blanket Pt 3

Not that I am biased or anything but this is looking really good (~_o)
The only thing that is slowing me down is sewing in the ends but that being said I am glad that I am working them in as I go. I would hate to think how many ends there would be in total if I left them until the very end!!

WIP - Crochet - Kaleidoscope Blanket Pt 2

Slowly but surely it's getting there!

Oops I noticed a mistake but I have already sewn the ends in. When I sew them in there is no hope of them ever coming undone again. I hope that no one else picks up the error. Oh well, it makes for a very unique blanket!

WIP - Crochet - Kaleidoscope Granny Square Blanket

I have been following this video on youtube to make myself a new throw for the back of the couch. I had also been wanting to make a blanket in my footy team colours.

My blanket has grown a lot since I took this photo.
It's looking pretty good.

The only thing I am not liking so much are all of the ends that need to be sewn in. I have decided to make it easier on myself and I shall sew after I have completed each section. That way I wont have hundreds of ends to sew in when I finish.
