I whipped this up on Friday night and finally sewed this on to a background square on Saturday while watching The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug with the boys. Great movie by the way.
I didn't follow a written pattern I actually worked off a diagram. Sadly I cannot remember the exact web address where I got the picture from other than I initially found it on pinterest when I did a search for crocheted flowers. I did end the 'flower' differently to the diagram. The final row called for picot edges but I decided to change that. I also added a yellow circle to the centre. I thought it finished it off nicely.
Now to think about what to place on some of the other squares...
