Meet Me On Monday

Hosted by Java at Never Growing Old

Questions:

1.  What is your favourite food?
2.  What colour scheme is your bedroom?
3.  Do you carry a donor card?
4.  In your opinion, is the glass half empty or half full?
5.  Vanilla or Chocolate?

---------------------------------------------------------------

My Answers!

1.  What is your favourite food?
Something edible and preferably tasty.

2.  What colour scheme is your bedroom?
Brown & I am not that fussed about it but this is a rented home & I can't change it :(

3.  Do you carry a donor card?
No I don't. I have thought about it but I am not sure that my spare parts would do anyone any good.

4.  In your opinion, is the glass half empty or half full?
Half full. I always look for that silver lining. What is the point of looking for the bad stuff. I prefer to look for the good.

5.  Vanilla or Chocolate?
Hands down its Chocolate. Although with my being diagnosed recently as a diabetic I can't say that I will be eating much of this delicious goodness in future. Carob is just not the same *sigh*

Thanks for sharing. And please consider registering (link is on my Meet Me Monday post). Your parts can not only do someone good, but save their life! I speak from experience...

Love your answer to #1. You might have to explain "fussed about", though. I'm assuming it means the same as "crazy about". I'll sacrifice and eat the chocolate for you...gosh, the things I do for friends... ;-)

LOVE that glass cartoon panel. :)

You're right! What definitely the point of looking at bad things? The point of living is to love and live a good life. Looking at the bad (and not doing anything about it) is simply a waste of time..

2ndheartmom, I don't know if they would accept parts from a diabetic do they? I didn't think that they would be good enough now.

Beverly you are such a good friend. Thank you so much for eating the chocolate for me :)
And you're right fussed about is the same as crazy about.

I'm with you Simonette, it does seem like a waste of time to me too :)

Hey, these are some easy ones today:
1. Potatoes is my favorite food above all else. There's so many ways to make them and all of them are good!
2. My bedroom color scheme is olive green
3. I do not carry a donar card.
4. The glass is ALWAYS half full. That's just the 'way I roll'! LOL
5. Chocolate...case closed!

Poetess, You and Angus definitely make a good pair. He loves potatoes too. You definitely are a glass half full girl! You always look to the brighter side of things :)

I love chocolate, too, but I don't get to eat much of the real stuff since being on Weight Watchers and having heart issues. Still, I do get a taste now and then :) I really need to be a half full type of person, but I always seem to see the negative.

Yvonne, its not always easy looking for the positive but I try really hard to. Not being able to have chocolate can be really testing sometimes. I can have a teeny bit of dark chocolate but I don't really like it all that much.

Who said you can't have chocolate? Damn, woman...my daughter is Type 1, my husband is Type 2...you CAN have chocolate...and don't let anyone tell you it has to be sugar free because the carbs are exactly the same as for w/sugar.
It's all in the balance. Those little Halloween chocolate bars...otherwise known as 'snack size' are the equivalent of a fruit. Trust me, when my daughter was diagnosed at the age of 9 we learned way quick how to give her a little treat now and then to save her sanity and ours.
You just can't chow down on it like we would all like to but, then again, we shouldn't do that either...it's not the sugar, it's the fat...so just account for it...and fat slows sugar metabolism, so you can't grab a chocolate bar if you go low but you can work it into your life...treat yourself, you deserve it.
If you ever want to talk, send me an email and we can chat...
Hang in there, dear...it ain't the end of the world. You're not defective, just insulin resistant!

Hopping over from Java's. I live in a rental too and can't change anything either. My parents are diabetic, it's rough, but manageable. Good luck!

Thank you Moe you have made my day! I would never have thought of the little fun-sized chocolates as being okay. I guess I still have a lot to learn about being a diabetic.
I was beginning to think I was a bit on the defective side of things.
