Lucky Me, I Got To Sleep In Today

Well just a small sleep in because I was awake just after 8am. Considering its Friday during a school term that's not a bad thing. Both of the boys schools have a Pupil Free day today. I am assuming its so that they can write their report cards because they are due out soon. Even though they are both home I still wish they were at school. They were fighting nice & early! Let's hope that the rest of the day is better or I may end up pulling out some more hair and not necessarily my own!

Brodie is pretending to be an Emo kid by not smiling *rolls eyes*
I finished that baby's bib I was making the other day but I forgot to take a photo to share. Oh well. I did remember to take a photo of the cardigan that I am currently knitting. It's slow going and I had to pull apart a few rows because I had dropped a stitch and I couldn't work out how to fix it without ruining the pattern. What do you think of the variegated baby's wool? Pretty huh.

The cute little baby cardigan that I started knitting the other night.
I bought a magazine to have a read through. Its not my usual style of magazine it has absolutely nothing to do with knitting or crochet! Although I did look at a few of them at the newsagent but didn't feel that I should spend more money on something that I would probably not read more than a couple of times and the file it away somewhere to gather dust. Do you do that? Buy a magazine or book that you wont read over & over again. What do you do when you've finished reading them? I have a stack of craft magazines & cooking ones that I should go through and toss out the ones I know I wont bother with again. Maybe I should give them to the Op shops in town.

Just in case ...

Hi Jo-anne, just dropping in to introduce myself (I found you via Deb's site!) I feel totally at home here with my passion for purple ~ looks like you share it with me! I absolutely LOVE your *gorgeous* site . I crochet too although I haven't done that in awhile so I need to get *hookin'* again :D

I have a dear friend with autism & can relate to coping with multiple health conditions including depression.

I'll pop over again soon ~ hope you are enjoying your day :)

Best Wishes,
Fiona

I love the variegated yarn for the baby cardigan. It looks so soft and 'baby-ish'. LOL But I know all about the 'dropping the stitch' thing. That's one of the reasons I don't knit more! With crochet, fixing a 'boo boo' is a LOT easier!!...By the way the 'diabetic Living'magazine looks like it might be a good one! Does it have recipes and things in it too?! It looks familiar to one I've read before...Speaking of which, I've got tons of magazines: 'Country Living', Oprah's mag, "O", 'Martha Stewart Food', and crochet and pattern books, all over the place!! {Not really 'all over the place', but HERE!! LOL} A lot of them have good recipes in them I'm determined to try...but who has the time or the 'where-with-all' anymore?! O_0 ONE DAY......!...Hey! Maybe you should get your school vacationers to fix you some breakfast! My hubby is home today too. That's what I'm getting him to do!!! ^_^

Poetess, you sound just like me with all the magazines :) the recipes and patterns were some of the reasons why I haven't gotten rid of them yet. In answer to your question yes the Diabetes magazine does have some really great recipes in it. Ones that I will definitely try because they look SO good!
The boys didn't make me breakfast this morning but who knows maybe they will tomorrow :)
I hope your breakfast was delicious!

I admire your talent; I tried cross stitch once but just couldn't get to grips with it! I'm all fingers and thumbs, think I'll stick to sheep!!

Hi Fiona, sorry I didn't see your comment earlier. Isn't Deb wonderful! I am glad to see that I am not the only who loves purple :) Thank you for stopping by.

CJ, I know what you mean about the cross stitch. I tried that many years ago but I never really got into to. Sticking with sheep isn't such a bad idea :) I'll join you
