Finished Item - Crochet - Toy Bear

My bear looks a little lopsided but I think this adds to the charm, right?

I made this using the Penny the Panda pattern from Lion Brand.

I didn't make the panda as you can see. I wanted to use up some of the scrap yarn I had instead.

I shall be adding this panda to the duck I made the other week. It will be added to Operation Christmas Child boxes that the Knit & Natter group are doing. Well technically it's not the group but the Church the other ladies belong to.

Finished Item - Baby Kina in Ice Yarn

Another baby Kina finished. I just love the colours of this Ice Yarn.

I will be delivering this one along with some other things to Olivia's Place. They help support mums and families during pregnancy and early parenting by providing things that baby needs (clothes, cots, etc).

Knit & Natter

I went to a Knit and Natter today. It's only my second visit.
I thought I would take some of the things I have made which one of the ladies will pass on to a local charity called Olivia's Place. You can check out their website HERE or their Facebook page HERE

21 beanies and three baby outfits.

I am very happy that there is a local charity that I can give my baby items to. It is somewhere I know that they will be given, not sold, and to Mums in need.

Squares for Nepal

The Relief Society presidency in our Ward sent a call out for knitted and crochet squares last Sunday so that blankets can be made for the people of Nepal, where that horribly devastating earthquake struck a few weeks ago. 

Of course, you know how much I love to crochet. I didn't hesitate at picking up my hook and some scrap yarn to make squares to donate for such a worthy reason. This was just a couple of evenings work. I have made a few more since this photo was taken. I'll add them to the rest and take them in this coming weekend. I am sure I have a couple of completed blankets I can add to this collection. The people of Nepal need to feel some love and care right now.
