Finished items - Baby Kina

I finally added some buttons to the baby kinas that I finished knitting a little while ago. I chose the new handmade with care buttons that I bought on wish. I think they go really well with the variegated yarn especially since the buttons are a neutral colour.
All I need to do now is work out where they will be going. I'm leaning towards Olivia's Place.

WIP - Knitting - Baby Kina

I've finished knitting this baby kina. I just need to add some buttons and it will be finished. Sewing is really not my most favourite things to do at the moment.

You can find the pattern for the Baby Kina by Muriela on Ravelry.

Finished Item - Knitting - Baby Kina in Ice Yarn

I know I am making a lot of these baby kinas up but they are so quick to make and they do look amazing. This one went to Olivia's Place. We delivered quite a few items there on Tuesday. In fact they loved the items that we brought over.

It's good to know where the stuff we make is going and that they will be given away. With each pram and cot that is given to clients at Olivia's place they also give them a blanket.
I'm thinking that may be one of the places that I will regularly donate to.

Finished Item - Baby Kina in Ice Yarn

Another baby Kina finished. I just love the colours of this Ice Yarn.

I will be delivering this one along with some other things to Olivia's Place. They help support mums and families during pregnancy and early parenting by providing things that baby needs (clothes, cots, etc).

Finished Item - Knitted Baby Kina - I know another one!

Yes I know, it's another baby kina.
I promise it is the last one for a while. In fact I started making a knitted duck. I just need to make the feet and the beak before sewing it together.

Finished Item - Knitting - Another Baby Kina

As you may have seen I have been knitting a lot on Baby Kina's recently.
I finished another apple green kina the other day. I am currently making another salmon coloured one.

I thought I would share all of the ones I have completed for now.
I have no idea where they will end up but it's nice to imagine someones baby wearing them.

The pattern for the Baby Kina can be found on Ravelry

Finished Item - Knitted Baby Kina in Magic Light

I love how quickly this was whipped up. The only thing that took me a while to do was selecting which buttons to sew onto the cardigan.

The photo isn't the best. The yarn is a much richer and brighter colour than shown.

WIP - Knitting - Baby Kina in Ice Yarn Magic Light

Okay I have the bug for making baby kina cardigans at the moment. What can I say other than I am liking how quickly I can whip these up and that I find knitting plain stocking stitch rather soothing.

I am loving this Ice Yarn. It looks very pretty. I just love the colour changes.
Perfect for a rainbow baby.

Finished Item - Knitting - Baby Kina in Salmon

I finished knitting a baby kina in salmon this time. It's such a pretty colour.
This yarn is also from Ice Yarns & was on special when I purchased it.
I still have around four and a half balls of this one along with the apple green I used earlier.

Finished Item - Knitting - Baby Kina

Measures 9 inches across and 9 inches from the neck to the hem.
I really love how this baby kina turned out.
I'm thinking perhaps I should make some more with this green yarn. I also have some of the same kind but in salmon. Who knows?!

WIP - Knitting - Baby Kina

I started this Baby Kina a few nights ago.
I'm happy to say that it is almost complete. I just need to sew the underarm and add some buttons.

Now I need to work out what I am going to make next ...

Finished Item - Knitting - Baby Kina

My wrist and arm had recovered enough so I could complete this project relatively pain free.
I'm not too sure what was going on with my arm, other than the fact that my meds changed and it was the same arm (shoulder) which had the torn ligament a few years back. Perhaps it is all connected.

Anyway, the baby Kina is complete and it looks really good. I shall be putting it with one of the blankets I have made for Brodie's friend, Kat, who is expecting a baby girl next month.

WIP - Knitting - Baby Kina

I wanted to use some of my Ice Yarn that I purchased a little while ago but I didn't want to make another blanket using it. I decided that I would give knitting another go. of course it took a while to work out what project to begin. I finally decided on making a short sleeved Baby Kina. It's a paid pattern of Ravelry.
So far so good with the knitting but I believe I need to purchase some longer needles. Either that or some circular ones. I've been eyeing off a set or two on eBay.

It has been awfully warm for the past week and I am struggling with the heat indoors and wanting to knit. It hasn't stopped me but I am leaving it until the evenings when it's been a little cooler.
There were a couple of cooler days but it warmed up again rather quickly. I will be so glad when autumn finally arrives and this indian summer disappears! I need my cooler weather!

I haven't been able to knit for a couple of days. My right wrist and arm have been awfully sore. I'm not sure if it is to do with the exercise group I go to and that I pushed myself hard or it could be the fact that my medication for my arthritis has changed. It could be a possibility that it is both of these things. Either way it has slowed me down.
