Happy New Year 2014!!

I don't normally make new years resolutions. I think they can be pretty useless because most of the time you break them within the first month any way. When I came across this the other day on Facebook when Retro Mummy posted this I thought: Hey I can do most, it not all, of these things this year.

Although I will need to tweak this list it to suit me better. I no longer drink tea (only herbal tea now and then) so I would substitute the drink Caro instead. It's a caffeine free drink. I'm also adding MORE scripture reading.

Wish me luck!

Goodbye 2011

Last year I made some New Years Resolutions & I think I did my best to keep most of them. I am especially proud of my last entry where I promised to add to my yarn stash. I managed to do that one so well. In fact I think I might promise to do that one in 2012 as well =D

I don't know about making any new resolutions for next year. Apart from this one - that I will endeavour to keep - I will do my best to keep my Diabetes under control. I know I am doing okay with that so far so I'll just keep plodding along and see what happens. Before I forget I need to tell you that I have now lost 18kg, that's around 39.6 pounds. It's been slow going but at least I haven't put any weight back on. Maintaining my weight was one of my goals.

So much has happened to my family over the past year. Lots of highs and lows. Here are the ones that stand out the most (to me at least).
  • Brodie successfully graduated from High School. A HUGE achievement that makes me feel so happy & very proud of what's he has accomplished.
  • I became a great-auntie again when Moya-May was born (she's 2 months old already)
  • Mark got his ham radio license
  • Angus got accepted into TAFE next year for Automotives
  • I got diagnosed with diabetes
  • I learnt how to do Tunisian crochet
  • Brodie got his scooter (he just needs to get his license)
  • Mark & I celebrated 5 years of togetherness last January

I wonder what 2012 will bring ...

    New Year's Resolutions

Do you make New Year's Resolutions? I don't normally, I never seem to be able to keep them. So here is my attempt at some that I will endeavour to keep...

    • I will stop calling people names feeling jealous when I see cooking blog posts where they have photos of Kitchen Aid mixers. I will end up with one some day, somewhere down the track, in this millennium ...
    • I will avoid taking a bath whenever possible so that I can do my bit & conserve more water :P
    • I will do less laundry and use more roll-on deodorant, just doing my bit for the environment again :D
    • I will spend MORE time on the internet blogging, chatting, on Twitter or Facebook
    • I will try and figure out why I need so many email addresses or maybe not
    • I will ALWAYS wear clean underwear, just in case. (That should make my Mum happy)
    • I will watch more t.v. it's educational, plus I like watching documentaries (and soaps, sci-fi, comedies..)
    • I promise that I will stick to these new resolutions for at least one week (but I get to choose which week)
    • I promise to add to my yarn collection whenever I can (Edited 5:52pm Friday) [I almost forgot that one - its such an important one to include]
What are your New Year's Resolutions?
