More Vintage Knitting Books

I thought I would share the last of the photos that I took of the vintage patterns that my niece, Kylie, gave me.

Sadly this one didn't have a cover.

I love the classic look of some of these items.
Some of the patterns look lovely and would fit in quite nicely with today's fashion. In one of the books there was even a pattern called Jo-anne. I had to laugh when I read the name. It even had the right spelling too. I have seriously thought of knitting it but for now I am concentrating on crochet. I don't seem to have a lot of patience for knitting at the moment.
Do new Mums put bootees on their babies these days?
I have found a few books like these on ebay. I almost put a bid on them, almost :D

That baby vest/singlet I finished last week was from one of these books. You can go here to see what it looked like if you haven't seen it already :)

Time to go do some more crocheting before I need to go out again. I have another appointment with my Diabetes Educator today. I can't wait to show her that app on my phone that allows me to keep track of everything. And of course to show her how good my BGL's are.

I think babies still wear booties... or at least they should.
I don't know how to knit but I do crochet - mostly throw blankets.

What great books! And I know what you mean about not having the patience for knitting. Crocheting ruins you that way! LOL And thanks for reminding me that I have a lot of vintage knitting and crocheting baby books around here too! I'll have to pull them out. Although I have nobody to crochet baby things for right now. I don't sell them in my shop. Too many laws and regulations about selling for 'under 12 year olds'...Have a good visit with the dietician!

Poetess, you are right. Crocheting does spoil you that way :)
We don't have any restrictions for selling children's items, well none that I know of.
I'm about to head off for my appointment. I wonder what I will learn from my visit this time.

How cool I have the 2nd one and am pretty sure I have that yellow one too ?

Mona, most babies I see have socks on or are barefoot. I hope that they still wear bootees though. They look so cute in the especially if they have matching cardigans or jumpers.

Nelly, that is cool :) Some of those patterns look really nice too.

Jo, I was talking about the CPSIA laws that are in effect for those selling children's items on Etsy. They are so intense! {Having to test buttons, and having permanent labels on every single thing!}

Wow Poetess, now I can see why you don't make things for children. It sounds way too complicated.
