I just managed to take a photo with my digital camera when it decided not to play nice :( The lens started making this clicky, grindy noise when it was retracting and lens error popped up on the screen. Just what I needed :P Mark is currently looking on ebay for a replacement for me.
Thankfully I was able to take a photo of the flowers I crocheted tonight. I've never made flowers before but I think they turned out okay. They're a bit on the small side. I have no idea what I am going to do with them yet but I did have fun making them. That's the main thing, right?

Oh yes! Having fun is the main thing...especially when it comes to yarn. In fact, I always tell anyone I'm teaching to crochet to first find a pattern of something they WANT to have, or WANT to do, because if not they won't stick with it...I love your 2-colored one with the button too!
By the way, what yarn is this? You're going to think this is funny, but I just got a request to make a matching scarf for someone's hat and this looks like the yarn!! :-]
Thanks Poetess. I did make another flower with similar to the one with the button. I think it looks much nicer with three layers of petals.
With the yarn, gosh it was from a magazine deal but it is similar to one called Needles. Its acrylic if that helps. I'm not sure where you can buy it I got mine from one of those discount stores. It wasn't all that expensive. I did manage to find the yarn on ebay though.
They're lovely.
You can do anything you want with them.
Make a cardigan or top by sowing them on something or making them together.
I've seen someone who made them into a shawl.
You can sow them on a winterhat.
Or wear them on a band on your wrist.
Thank you YeYe for the ideas. I might make a few more before I decide :) I'll definitely take photos once I've made them into something. Hopefully I will have a new camera by then.
Thanks for the info Jo!
My pleasure Poetess, I hope I was some help.
