TARDIS Condiment Set

Mark bought me some TARDIS salt and pepper shakers for my birthday. He ordered them online, on eBay, and they arrived yesterday (not bad considering my birthday was almost two weeks ago! My guess is they never had them in stock and had to wait for them to come from overseas) Better late than never & at least they arrived safely.

Of course I had to get my miniature Doctor Who figures out and take photos of them with my new TARDIS shakers. I think they look pretty good (~_o)

The Postie Has Been

I love it when I receive parcels in the post. My two new beautiful scarves arrived today.
I bought them off ebay. I love finding bargains on ebay!

I keep looking at scarves on ebay. I have three of these pretty ones now and a larger shawl. I'm not sure where or when I will get to wear them all but they sure do look nice.

Baby Items Are Off In The Post

I posted off the baby cardigans to my niece this afternoon. The two knitted baby kinas (pattern by Muriela) and the two crocheted cardigans (patterns from Just Crochet). They are in two different sizes. I am hoping that they fit an 8lb baby. They should do :)

I know I've been making the seaside blanket but I really have enjoyed making the baby items much more than I realised. I don't know if I even want to go back to making the blanket right now. I only have three squares left to complete so maybe I need to psyche myself up to finish it. I really don't like leaving projects partially done. Someone please convince me that finishing the seaside blanket will be quick, easy and painless!

A Parcel In The Post

I finally posted some things off to my girlfriend, Mish, this morning. These super cute little items are all from patterns by Heather at Just Crochet. I only hope that they will fit Mish's little niece or nephew when they are born in about 10 weeks time.

I had plenty of that pretty blue yarn left so I'm making some premmie baby items to put aside for a Knit4Charities charity. I'm not sure which one that will be or when they will need to be sent but at least I'll have some items ready to go when the time comes. (~_~) Plus it keeps my hands busy.

My Geeky Sons Patience Was Wearing Thin

Brodie has been (impatiently) waiting for his Think Geek order for weeks now. It finally arrived this morning. Yay for the postie working on Saturdays during December! I'm not sure Brodie would've been able to wait much longer.

It's blanket/throw rug of the TARDIS from Doctor Who. It's based on the episode where the Doctor and Amy go back in time to visit Vincent Van Gogh.

I {heart} My Postie

I love my postie this week. Luke delivered my parcel from
Bendigo Woollen Mills a couple of days ago.

Look at this yummy goodness!
I still have no idea what I am going to make with them other than some baby items because it is so soft & would be perfect for a new bubz. For now they're sitting on top of my stash boxes but only because I've run out of room (o_0)

I love the idea of a shade card

Another Parcel

I forgot to share some photos the other day when I received another parcel. This one came from Yarn Over (they used to be called American Yarns) & they are based in Queensland. I went shopping on their website the other week after I received an email from Bernat showing some of the new yarns they now have available. I just love looking at their new yarns & their patterns. They have some great freebie patterns that you can download.

This parcel is from Yarn Over
I sent an email to Bernat asking if they did international orders but they didn't. Which was a shame really because the Australian dollar has been really good and above parity for some time now. That means that I would get the yarn/wool cheaper than those in the US would. Sadly though as I mentioned they don't send overseas :(

I have never seen Bernat yarns in any of the shops here so I knew I had to hunt online. I looked on ebay first. The prices weren't all that different to what I would pay for similar yarn in Spotlight or Busy Bees. That's when I came across Yarn Over.

Don't they look pretty?!
There were so many different yarns that I wanted to buy but I settled for these two. I love the fact that they will knit into a floral pattern. I have no idea what I will make with them yet so for now they will sit in my stash while I continue making that entrelac blanket for Angus. It's slowly growing.

Knock, Knock. Who's there?

Actually they never even got to knock on the door. Our loungeroom window faces the driveway and we can see all the cars coming and going in our shared driveway. So I actually saw the posties van pull up. I received the first of three parcels I am expecting this week. I'll tell you about the other ones once they have arrived. I can't spoil everything and tell it all at once ;)

Thank you Mr. Postman, Luke, who brought me a parcel!
This particular parcel I have been expecting for about a week or more but it had to travel all the way from the UK. It arrived a bit earlier than I thought it would. In fact I was thinking it might arrive at the end of this week not the beginning.

Looks like yummy healthy slow cooked meals will be coming our way soon!
Would you believe that buying books from the UK is cheaper than getting them here in Australia? Well at least from this ebay seller. If I make some of the recipes I'll try to remember to photograph the finished product. Although I am not always that good at remembering to take pictures of something I have just made. I really am very forgetful that way.

I received a phone call from Brodie a little while ago. It looks like he is heading for another suspension. I told him to make sure he brings some work home & his TAFE folder just in case. He mentioned something about being kicked out of VCAL Literacy and swearing at the teacher *rolls eyes* That kid drives me to distraction! I pick him up from the bus stop in about half an hour. No doubt he will tell me more about it when I see him. Ratbag!!

Look What The Postman Brought Today!

Look .. ALL the way from Massachussetts .. A Wuglyees Original! From our lovely PoetessWug!

Look at the pretty parcel that is inside the box! All wrapped so carefully.

I almost didn't want to open it because it looked so nice. The parcel would have looked so pretty under the Christmas tree. However I wasn't going to wait to open it for a second longer!

Look at the pretty Peacock scarf!!
And do know what's even better? The weather here in Victoria has taken on a rather wintry feel these past few days and its cool enough for me to wear my NEW scarf!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you Poetess for my lovely scarf! It makes my neck feel so warm and toasty! Did you wash it with something? It just smells so nice!

You can find PoetessWug's blog HERE and her etsy shop with all her Wuglyees Originals HERE
You should really go check out what she has available in her store! What a talented person!!
