Golly gosh it's another warm one. It's something like 32.5 C (90.6 F) right here at the computer it could be higher due to the fact that my digital thermometer doesn't display properly when its hot!
I thought it was meant to be autumn!!! Yeah I know that we can still have hot days right up until the end of April but that doesn't mean I have to like it!!
The boys are currently playing the play station and arguing as per usual. They were running very late this morning, which is quite the norm for them. Angus spat the dummy about eating his brekky because Brodie was being gross (nothing new there!!) Still he can't go to school on an empty stomach. So I let him eat some of his play lunch in the car on the way to school this morning.
I tell ya this week seems like I have done nothing but drive. Yes I know I live in the country and that is to be expected but still I don't like driving heaps, especially with the price of petrol as it is. Bring back the good old days when it was only something like 38 cents per litre!! That's about the cheapest I can remember it being and that was back in the early 1980's. Sheesh all I seem to do is complain right now ~ lol oh well!
The big fella told me that he was no longer on internal suspension because his behaviour was wonderful today. I find it a little hard to believe that he will only have one day on suspension for his erratic behaviour. I'm sure that the yr 7 co-ordinator I spoke with said it would be for much longer. I am still very disappointed with his behaviour at school and at home!!
He has this attitude that he is in charge and tells his little brother what he can and cannot do .. he even tries it with me. Last night Mark pulled him up on it and he was sent to bed early. Boy was he pissed off! So I'm thinking that perhaps that punishment was a really good one for him.
He was whinging a short time ago about going swimming but one day last week both boys decided to stay out extremely late in the pool and it was getting dark so I called them home. I know they heard me but they just plain ignored me. So later on when I called them a second time I heard Brodie tell Angus that it was time they got out because Mum called us before. Mark & I decided that to be fair that the next two times they asked to go into the pool we would say NO. Of course Brodie disputed that fact that he has already asked twice since this ban was imposed. He is ALWAYS right!!! or so he thinks anyway. I must right down all of the privileges that the boys lose that way they wont dispute it. Seeing things in black and white might help settle matters more rapidly in future. I know Mark has said that he would write them down at Fircle, but we keep forgetting to ...*oops*
Oh well better get off this thing shortly the boys will be screaming for dinner soon. Time to prepare something that wont leave me standing in a hot kitchen for too long!
