Crochet Magazine

I finally bought myself a crochet magazine the other day. 

It came with a calender for next year. 

I'm not sure what happened with the picture below (o_0) but there's a pattern for Kokeshi dolls. 

I had been searching for a pattern online. I had found a couple but I do love the look of these ☺

They are on my to do list .. that I may get around to eventually.

Our Christmas Tree

Angus put up our Christmas tree earlier this week. 

I was thinking it is looking a little sad but at least it adds some colour to our lounge room. 

We also have stockings hanging up and pretty tinsel all around the lounge as well. 

I just love Christmas and how bright and colourful everything is (~_o)

Thankful Thursday

Here's what I am thankful for this week:

• anniversaries! Mark and I had our ♥♥♥  first anniversary ♥♥♥ on Sunday ☺
• Mark - he was amazing and did some cleaning for me. One of those icky jobs that I hate doing. Thanks so much hon, I really appreciate it xoxo
• cool changes - even though we only had a couple of warmer days for the 'official' start of Summer I am ever so thankful that it did not last all that long
• crochet, as always ☺
• Angus - he did some jobs for me on Sunday when he stayed home from Church. Thanks kiddo it was a big help xoxo

Crochet Christmas Patterns

While hunting for inspiration I came across some really nice crochet patterns for Christmas. Oh I found stacks that would be great for a northern hemisphere Christmas but not so much for us in the southern part of the globe. Too bad Christmas falls in Summer here which means some of it is not all that appropriate for the weather here in Australia. At least not for the silly season at any rate.

I really like the wreath and luckily I have some little crocheted faces of Father Christmas that I made a few years ago. I might just whip up some stockings and presents & make myself a wreath.

Finished Items - Crochet Bookmarks

I thought that with Christmas coming up that I would whip up a couple of quick projects and decided to make somebookmarks to give as gifts to family in Adelaide but then I realised that not all of them read. In fact I could only think of three people that I knew who even read. 

I really wanted to make these shell patterned bookmarks that I found on ravelry and I wondered who I could give them to. Then I thought of my visiting teachers. I know that they read so the bookmarks would be a perfect gift for them. I wont be seeing them until next Sunday so I will give them to them then. I am sure that they will love them.

Awesome Crochet Pattern Finds

I have been hunting for patterns and inspiration for a new project. I was thinking about making some bookmarks for my family back in Adelaide but I only know of two or three of them that actually read any books. Sad I know. I don't understand why they wont read.
