On The Needles ~ Baby Sweater

Don't be shocked but I picked up my knitting needles a couple of nights ago and started knitting a cute little baby cardigan. It's from a pattern called Five Hour Baby Sweater (if you click on the link you can dowload the pattern) that I got from yarn tootin. It's anything but a five hour thing to create. I have worked at least 6-7 hours on it already and it's not finished yet although I do expect ti be finished some time this afternoon. There's only around 20 rows to go and its done.

Here's what it looks like so far ...

I really love the self-patterning yarn from Bernat. I had to order it from the Yarn Over website which is based in Queensland. It's the only way to get Bernat yarns in Australia as they don't sell them in the shops. This particular ball is called Orange Blossom.

Love the yarn you picked. I have knit this before and I call the the "weekend baby sweater"!

Thanks WildflowerWool. I think calling it the 'weekend baby sweater' seems more appropriate. Especially since I'm not a very fast knitter :)

Thanks Poetess. It looks even better now that it's finished. I'll post a photo tomorrow.
