I found something else we had in common! :-)) Your first paying job was picking potatoes. Mine was picking peas!! I got paid by the weight of the bag at the end of the day. As hard as I worked I remember being very disappointed! I think I thought I'd be able to retire from work all together from my first paycheck!! LOL

Poetess, I know what you mean about the pay-check. I remember having to fill a huge container and you only got paid if it was full at the end of your shift. I was working with my niece and since we were only youngsters the adults helped us fill it. I think we were paid a whole $6 each. It may not seem like much now but it was worth a lot back then.

Yeah, I think 29 is the magic number for most people. My grandma was "29 and holding" until the day she died (she was 69 when she passed in 1993). She was a spunky woman and loved Bon Jovi and Whitney Houston.

I haven't ever been brave enough to eat mince meat. A church in our town makes mince meat every year. It sure does smell good.

I'm not a big Twilight fan, but I did read the first two books.

Jules, your grandma sounds like she was a wonderful lady with great taste in music :D

Karen, I think of the fruit mince pies as finely chopped dried fruits. It really is quite delicious but very sweet.

Yvonne, I did watch the first movie but I couldn't get into it. I'm definitely not a big fan.
