I Felt The Earth Move Under My Feet

image from geoscience Australia website

Wow that was exciting. About 45 minutes ago we had an earthquake. Twitter has exploded with tweets. Turns out it was around 4.4 with the epicentre being in Korumburra. That's about a 45 minute drive from our place. It certainly made my day just a little bit more exciting. If you look at the map I live near Warragul, which isn't really that far away.

I must admit though that this one felt different to the ones we had a couple of years ago. The house seemed to swirl this time around rather than roll up and down, kind of like when you pick a cup up and swirl the contents about. It seemed to last a lot longer too.

I was going to talk about my visit to see my new diabetes educator but seeing her wasn't quite as exciting as watching twitter or feeling the earth move. I might leave it for tomorrows post :) unless something equally exciting happens between now & then :D

Poetess, it was very exciting for a while. There's been at least one after-shock that I know of but I didn't feel it. It's the most excitement we've had in a while :)
