Golly Gosh I am awful tired right now. I could do with a cat nap but it's getting late and I need to finish organising dinner. No rest for the wicked so they say too bad I am a good girl rofl.
We picked Trip up this morning at around 9 am. We've got a collection of things for him too. His slug is in a specimen jar. Something to 'remember' all of this by when he finally heals. He has to have antibiotics twice a day and a pain killer at night. The poor thing is trying to get about on two legs. He tries to move so fast that he ends up hurting himself.
We went out to food bank this morning and when we came home we went looking for him. He wasn't on the bed where we had left him he was on the couch in the lounge room. I don't know how he went getting up on the couch as it is quite tall. He was half asleep when found him. I could shoot Brodie though the rat bag! He threw Angus's toy Pooh Bear and it landed on the couch. It scared Trip half to death and he fled into the bedroom again. This time he hopped into the carry case. Smart move I think. He ill be less likely to be disturbed being in there. The boys wont be able to get at him as much and Saqarra wont be able to fit in there with him!! He's been asleep in it for most of the afternoon. I just hope that he is able to get around better in a day or to. He can't even put any weight on his right paw at all. Just as well it is on the opposite side to his amputated leg. Can you imagine how difficult it would be for him if it had been on the same side? I hate to think of it really. We would be in a right pickle, not to mention that Trip would be too!
While we were out this morning I also got a few bargains. We went to a couple of Op Shops and bought a few things. I got a new dress jacket for Brodie for Church, a quilt cover for Angus, some quilting pattern books for me & a jacket for Mark all foe less than $20. Pretty good I think.
I also finally got myself a new ruler for quilting it's much larger than the one I already have. It will make things a lot easier when I want to cut larger pieces.
I was looking at my pattern books thinking about the different projects I could do but I truly only want to start on the Noah's Ark one. The only thing is I don't have the pattern and I have to wait until Tuesday night. I've finished the other projects I was doing and I still feel like sewing but I guess I shall have to learn patience and wait until Tuesday night. Hmm .. maybe I should ask if I can get the pattern photocopied so that I can do more of it at home. It wont hurt to ask ...
