Good News

I went to the little dudes school today to type up the weekly newsletter like I always do on a Friday afternoon & Ian, the Prinicpal, asked me if I would like to run the schools website. Doing all the updates with the newsletter, photos, etc. I can't tell you how good that made me feel to be asked to do something like this. I love working with the computer and maybe, just maybe, I will be able to show off some of my artistic skills. However I wont hold my breath because Ian may not want anything too flash. Mark suggested I check out some of the other schools sites to see what they have done with theirs. I think that's a great idea so I'll do that a little later on.

One other thing I love doing at the school is working in the library. I catalogue all the new books, cover them etc. There were a stack of new ones there waiting for me today. I ran out of time to do them though so I'm thinking I might do that early Monday morning. Especially since the little dude gets to school so early now that we need to get the big fella to the bus stop before 8:30.

Late last year I applied to get into Monash University to do a Business System Management Course. Unfortunately I didn't get an offer. Which made me feel so disappointed. I felt like I wasn't worthy. Silly huh!! It's not like I haven't already gone on to tertiary education. I have a Teaching Diploma ~ but what was just as disappointing was that I didn't even get an offer to complete my 4th year to get my Bachelor of Education which I also applies for.
So for now I've decided that perhaps I should volunteer at the local council library to get some more experience. It can't be too much different from working in a school library ~ well I hope it isn't. I'm not sure when I am going to do this though. Maybe I should phone the library next week or pop in & visit them.
