It's I love Yarn Day! (well in the US it is but it should be global!!)
Celebrate YARN: Whether you knit, crochet, craft, or just adore fibre, October 12th is the national day to declare your LOVE for yarn.
My family knows I LOVE YARN! If my 'small' collection of 6 plastic storage boxes and several shopping bags that overflow in the lounge room doesn't let family and visitors know I love yarn they mustn't know me very well.
In honour of this day I think I should go and buy some more or at least do the cheek test* on several new skeins (~_~) that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it :-P not that I need an excuse to go buy yarn.
If I don't come back for tomorrows post you know I got lost in my local yarn store ....
*the cheek test is where you rub a ball of yarn on your cheek to see how soft it is

Sadly I didn't make it into Spotlight today and fondle the yarn. To be honest I do have a big stash of it here but I did take my knitting project with me to the hospital when Brodie had his MRI this morning. So I at least showed I love yarn :D
Ha! Ha! I never heard it called 'the cheek test'...even though I've done it MANY times!! ^_^ By the way, thanks for the 'heads up' about yarn day too. I never knew there was any such thing. Where was I last year?...huh?...Huh?! ^_^ I hope I feel good enough today to mess with some yarn, never mind buying any!
Poetess, I hope you felt good enough to crochet today :) or at least did the cheek test with some of your yarn.
