Crochet Flowers

I've been practising my crochet today. I've tried making some flowers but I am not sure if I like them all that much. I got the patterns out of Crochet Bouquet & I have totally surprised myself by actually reading the patterns in US terminology too. I had to 'translate' the directions into UK terms so I know which stitches to use but I did a good job :)

The first one is meant to be a rose but I didn't sew it together right. It looks more like the top of a cupcake! But it was the first one I did so I didn't expect perfection.

The purple one on the right I made using the same directions for the pink one but I sewed it together differently. It still doesn't look much like a rose to me but it looks better.
The blue one on the left was from the pattern called Popcorn in the middle. It kind of looked like the picture in the book but I forgot to do the 5th round. It still looks good though.

Now that I have made them I have absolutely no idea what to do with them. I'll make some more and put them aside. I am sure that I could add them to a scarf or a beanie later on.

...Or you could sew them all together into a blanket! I've done that in the past...Great Job Jo!! They look really good! Even the cupcake one is useful. Just make another one just like it, sew them back to back, {leave an opening to stuff them first though}, stuff them with cotton or fiberfill, add a string and whatever other embellishments you want and hang it from Emi's mirror!! I never waste anything I crochet!...And your others can be sewn on top of a pillow, a sewing box, or any number of places!! I love seeing you venturing into crochet. I can't wait to see what you do next!! :-)

Thank you for the ideas Poetess. I didn't even think to add them to pillows or sewing boxes. Once I decide what to do with them I'll take some more photos & share them :)
I just feel so good that I was able to read a pattern. I am getting much better at it too :D I love being able to make things other than beanies & granny square blankets.
