It's National Wattle Day

September 1st is Wattle Day. The wattle is the national floral emblem of Australia. Find out more about Wattle Day HERE. This year Wattle Day celebrates 100 years.

There's nothing that signifies the start of spring more than when the wattle starts flowering. It certainly takes me away from the gloom of winter & the promise of warmer days and LOTS of flowers!

Spring is my favourite time of year.

  2. When I wrote this post the I was thinking about the other Wattyl that people might know about. The paint! I think this wattle is much prettier.
