I do that too...That's a nice tip, isn't it. I do that too. But the only thing I would do slightly different is that I would sew the ends across 2 or 3 shell bases...to make sure that they don't come a loose when you wash your project. And if it does fray a little, you can just clip off the little piece without worrying...There's so much to learn, isn't there?! I'm thankful to have the experience of my years doing it.
